You are ready to collect a Jeffrey Hayes Still Life... Congratulations! You are acquiring a painting that will be a treasured part of your collection and an heirloom for generations to come.
I've endeavored to make this process as simple and satisfying as possible. For the convenience of my collectors, nearly all of my paintings are available for immediate purchase directly through my gallery of Available Work. Transactions are handled securely and instantly via PayPal, and your new painting is shipped promptly thereafter (please see the "delivery" section below).
|
Timed payments are available for paintings priced $500 and above. These arrangements are determined individually with each prospective collector, but generally consist of a down payment followed by several monthly installments; the artwork then ships after full payment is made. If there is a painting you would like to purchase in this way, please contact me to discuss it.

I am very grateful for the loyalty my collectors have shown towards my work over the years. To acknowledge that relationship, beginning in 2011 I am offering an exciting new opportunity, the Collector's Reserve. Twice annually I will set aside my finest new work, and make it available only to my existing collectors, at a special reduced price.
Any collector who has purchased any work of mine will be eligible to participate in this exclusive offer. You will receive a notification at the address where your painting has been shipped. If you have moved or the previous address is no longer valid, please contact me with updated information.

Every painting has it's own life cycle, and the rate of my output varies somewhat depending on the complexity of the current piece. On average, though, every month I produce between 4 and 8 small works and 1 or 2 medium-sized works. I generally create 2 or 3 large works annually. New paintings are unveiled in my Available Works gallery, and also announced on my blog and my Facebook page
I go to great lengths to photograph and present my paintings accurately, but of course it is sometimes challenging to commit to purchasing larger works without seeing them in person. For collectors interested in my larger paintings, a private viewing can be arranged through a visit to my studio north of Boston. Please note that these visits are only available to view works valued at $750 and above. Private viewings can be arranged via my contact page.

Fine Art is an elusive commodity to price, but I make every effort to set pricing for my work that represents the best value for my collectors. This pricing of course reflects my own time in creating each painting, which can be substantial - up to hundreds of hours each for my larger pieces. It also reflects the strong collectability and demand for my work, as well as my rising national exposure through major exhibits and publications. Even so, since my work is offered directly to my collectors, I am able to price them more affordably than if they were exhibited in traditional galleries.

Your complete satisfaction with your new painting is the measure of my success.
I am very proud to say that a significant number of my collectors have each acquired more than a dozen works from me. It is my goal that the paintings should exceed expectations, and that the collector be simply delighted when their artwork arrives.
However, for any reason and without question, a work may be returned within 90 days of purchase for a full refund plus the cost of shipping.

Your new painting has been made to last as a treasured generational heirloom. I use only the finest artists' materials available, and go to great lengths to find the paints, brushes, and panels of the highest quality. The paintings themselves are painstakingly created using centuries-old techniques. These working methods have truly stood the test of time; they are responsible for the durability and vibrancy of paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt, and dozens of other artists from the Dutch Golden Age. Museum-goers today marvel at their fresh, colorful appearance, 350 years after they were painted.
Of course, after several decades, all paintings will require inspection and professional cleaning to maintain their liveliness. Rest assured, though, that I have done everything I possibly can to create an extremely durable work of art. With proper care, your painting will be valued and appreciated for a very, very long time.

A number of my paintings have already been custom framed, with utmost attention paid to match the frame selection with the distinctive colors, composition, and theme of that particular painting. Optional framing services are available for the rest of my paintings. I have carefully selected a number of beautiful and elegant frame mouldings that will showcase your painting and harmoniously blend with a wide range of styles. I also personally oversee the framing process to ensure the highest level of care and quality workmanship.
Available framing options will be displayed on each painting's detail page. When purchasing your new painting, you may choose the framing option that best suits your needs, and it will arrive ready to grace your wall.

Your painting will be packaged with extraordinary care to ensure it arrives in perfect condition and ready for enjoyment and appreciation. It will be shipped safely and securely via the United States Postal Service, and unless otherwise noted it will be sent Priority Class. To protect the value of your investment during shipment, it will be insured for it's full purchase price.
|
Your painting will be signed with either my personal monogram in the case of a smaller piece, or my full signature in the case of a larger work. This will generally appear in the lower right-hand corner, except in cases where the composition requires it to placed elsewhere. Each work also bears my studio label affixed to the back, with detailed information about the painting. It will ship with a certificate of authenticity for your records, to help you establish provenance and future value. I also maintain a complete database of all my paintings - if you have any questions about authentication, please contact me.

At this time, only original Jeffrey Hayes Still Life paintings are available. I do, however, periodically review this policy, and am always interested to hear feedback from collectors and potential collectors regarding the availability of fine prints and other reproductions. Please contact me if you'd like to share your thoughts.
