For Collectors Welcome!
In the upcoming months, I will be developing and regularly adding content to this page which I hope will be of interest and value to art collectors in general and those who collect my work in particular. In fact, I intend for this page to be the very centerpiece of my website.
Meanwhile, I’d like to invite you to look over my shoulder as I work on a commission project for a couple who are long-term collectors of my paintings. As I progress, I will publish regular updates which will appear on this page, directly below.
They already think it’s a lot of fun, I think it’s a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

It’s getting close. This is the right-most panel, and as you can see, it’s far along. All of the marbles are done, though they still do need some touching up. I left painting the stone slab that the marbles rest on for the end, and will paint it together with the slab for the central […]
Here’s today’s progress on the commissioned triptych project. I tend to produce paintings on a smaller scale, and they’re usually highly polished and detailed. That kind of work by it’s very nature invites close inspection, and I’m used to seeing people actually getting their faces into the paintings – literally looking at them from just […]
The left panel for this triptych project is now mostly complete. I showed this image to the collectors who are commissioning it, and their response was “!!Gorgeous!”, so I think I can safely assume I’m on the right track here. I will add a few reflections of the light – especially the light that will bounce from […]
Good morning everyone. Hope you had a great weekend – I certainly did; some time to do nothing, some time to do a little good cooking, and some time visiting with old friends I haven’t seen in a while. Time to get back to work, though, and I’m happy to show some real progress on […]
Yesterday was a great day: Aside from the quick one-hour Alla Prima studies I do somewhat regularly, I haven’t done any real painting for nearly 2 months. Since then I’ve been preparing for a show and then doing a complete overhaul of my website. Worthy and necessary pursuits, but painting is more fun… and yesterday […]
The Commission – Part 3 The next step in the process has been gilding the edges of the panels, which I did with an eye towards providing a somewhat distressed and antiqued look. I can’t rightly boast about my skills as a gilder (yet), but I sure do enjoy the process. Here’s a quick […]
The Commission – Part 2 The first major step in this project will be preparing the panels. I need 3 panels measuring 7×16 inches. . The next step will be to prime the painting surface. That’s not terribly interesting, so I won’t show that. The step after that, however – gilding the sides – is […]
Barb and John have been regular collectors of my paintings for about 5 years now. They’re active in a number of the arts, and I see them at nearly all of the shows that I do, as well as gallery openings in the area. They’re genuine, down to earth, relaxed personalities, and the pleasure I […]
What Collectors Are Saying
"I feel privileged to own such a beautiful work of art. It brings grace to my home, as well as feelings of warmth and peace."
"Museum quality, perfect work. Beautiful, sophisticated, and poised."
"The variety of his paintings over the years has made multiple purchases greatly satisfying. Each work is unique and awe-inspiring because his ability is transcendent."
"I’ve known Jeff and collected his work for several years now. I always look forward with great anticipation when he shows his new work at local galleries and at art shows around the Boston area. The realism he achieves is astonishing. He brings a remarkable precision and clarity to his Still Lifes, and his compositions are always thoughtful and interesting. I always stop, look, and marvel at the paintings of his that I have hanging on my walls. I am both proud and honored to have him as part of my collection."
"We have several of Jeff's paintings. While they are usually paintings of very everyday things, what he does with them is extraordinary. Reflections and light through glass are masterfully shown, and are particular examples of the 'inherent' light we see in all the things he paints, and that we love seeing in our house."
A Look At My Paintings
Here is some video from a recent exhibit, showing a large number of my paintings as they appear framed and up on the wall.
Do you own one of my paintings?
If so, I would love to hear from you how you are enjoying it and what it’s like to have it as a part of your collection. Just fill out the form to let me know; I would appreciate it immensely!
