Knife and Imari
Today’s painting for you:
“Knife and Imari”, Oil on Panel, 4×10 inches, 2008
Today’s painting goes all the way back to 2008, about the time I was starting to paint only still life. There are a lot of things I’d do differently with this painting today, but there are a lot of things I’d do the same. Looking back at it, I appreciate the palpable sense of silence, as well as the near-emptiness of the composition.
I enjoyed looking at it again, and hope you do, too.
