This is great. I am enjoying seeing your process from the start. Thanks! Did I miss a post where you have said what you use to 'prime' your boards?

I hope you don't keep your masonite in the basement!
I'm also getting a real kick out of seeing you document your process!

    Thanks all!

Nartizt: I prime my boards with a mixture of white & black gesso, providing a mid-range gray.

Steve: glad you're enjoying it! The boards are high & dry

I will now try painting on masoniteand was wondering what to use as a primer.
I have been painting for only 5 years and still appreciate all of the hints I can find wherever. Your site appears to fit my needs Jeffery. Keep up the great work Kathy

Thanks Kathy; I use an acrylic primer; applied in several layers, sanded between each application
