    This looks so neat right at this point! I have another question. When you’re adding the color over the grisaille, are you using thicker paint and matching the values of the grisaille, or are those lots of thin glazes that build up color?

    This already looks interesting even with the grisaille Jeff! Also,I like the vertical size that you choosed for this piece, perfect for the composition. Have a good relax tv

    Do you find that the “grey” underpainting helps? It’s really nice to see your process. Nice piece already.

    Hi Carol; it’s thicker, direct painting at this point. I’ve never actually felt drawn to glazing, so I use it very, very rarely.

    Hi Jean, actually I find it to be indispensible. Certainly not for everybody, but it’s become the very bedrock for the way I paint.
