I really like this one, Jeff. The composition is very interesting and thoughtful. I like the long format and static triangular composition with the knife giving direction to a circular flow through the painting. It is refreshingly different painting.

You really understand and have mastered the art of indirect painting. It has enabled you to take bold risks with color, and to luxuriate in the use of color to a point that most people never even dare to attempt. The colors on your teacup and saucer are mesmerizinginly beautiful. A wonderful job, and a lovely piece.

Love the composition, love your lemons and this really is a beautiful knife! So what if you can’t actually USE it? Sell the other 5 – there’s probably 5 painters who’d love to have one! You did a great job – as usual!

Those old Dutch painters would be fans of yours. Excellent knife and plum, er, lemon.
