Painting A Day in USAToday
For those of you who may not have seen it, USAToday ran an article this week covering the painting-a-day (and artist-as-blogger) phenomenon and they ways in which it is changing both how art is made and how it is collected. It focuses mainly on Duane Keiser, who pioneered the movement and has been a source of inspiration to many artists, myself included. He also recently started a “text” blog (as opposed to his painting blog), where he has some interesting posts on the origin of his practice, and the effects that it has had on others. The USAToday article also makes a nice mention of Justin Clayton and Julian Merrow-Smith.
