I love the subtle color shifts in this one. Luminous and wonderful.

Gorgeous painting and inspiring series! I couldn’t help but wonder if you consciously chose the subject matter as relating to 9-11 … the glass as one of the towers? The egg reminding us of life and birth? Perhaps I have an overactive imagination 😉
…anyway, I hope to stop by your studio on Saturday.

Thanks Ilona. Well, to paraphrase Freud, sometimes a glass and a duck egg is just a glass and a duck egg 🙂

It would be nice to see you this weekend.

Where did you find a duck’s egg? Seriously, great job!

    Thanks Shant,

We have some friends who run a waterfowl sanctuary (http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/ in Connecticut. Last weekend, we visited and as we were leaving, I asked for an unfertilized egg to take with me to paint.
