2.5 x 8 composition! Daring. How dare you! Nice one.

Hey Ed! Well, my goal for the daily paintings is to keep them under 50 square inches. The logical outcome, of course, is the painting that’s 1″ x 49.5″. Unfortunately, the hardboard that I cut my panels from only comes in 24″ x 48″ sheets, so this will remain an unrealized dream.

I agree. I love this format, Jeff. Hope you do more. You used the same sized boards for Old Screwdriver and Old Wrench?

I’m with Chris on this — I love the format. Something a little different — nice

What I find so appealing about this painting is that you succeeded in transcending an ordinary empty jar, and bestowed upon us (the viewer) a deep empathy for its solitude through your delicate use of color and composition. Nicely done!
