It really is a great piece. I love how you’ve achieved that bluish/purplish sheen that glass can have. Just perfect.

I don’t think I could part company with this if it were mine. However, everything has its price 🙂

This is just a beautiful painting. I love how the objects fade into shadows, and the glass is amazing.

That is just stunning, that translucency is incredible. I’m in awe.

    Hi,

Whatever I may say, it can never be transparent enough 🙂

    Have a nice Easter,

Jeff – this one fairly ‘sparkles’! Great job. Tell me, does it get easier? Seeing the glass, the silver and the reflections?

Thanks Kelley – that is an interesting question. I’d probably have to say that it gets easier doing what I previously did, but each time I progress a little, there’s the realization that what I previously did wasn’t good enough. So, from that perspective, no it really doesn’t get any easier, and I sort of hope it never does, because that would be complacency.

This is one of those paintings that is just …. right! I feel that it’s a painting that an artist, out of the hundreds of works he does, feels that this is right there at the top of the satisfaction scale (we don’t get many of those feelings …. do we???).
It just works on so many levels, colour, drama, composition, lighting that, I think, makes it a classic and I bet you will be sorry in the future that you sold it 😉
