This Week’s Roundup
Hi there – I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
This week I share with you a series of videos of my current project, plus a blog post about kitchen still life paintings and a few older works.
Here are the highlights for the week:
On Monday I began the piece you can see on my easel above, and by Friday evening it was nearly complete. I documented the process along the way with a series of short videos, and I’ve compiled them into a playlist so you can see the entire progression from start to (almost) finished.
Thursday I shared one of my own kitchen still life paintings from 2012 and wrote a blog post about the genre, which is one of my favorite sub-categories of still life painting.
Continuing with the food theme, I closed out the week on Friday with a sushi painting from 2007.
I want to wish all of my friends here in the US a fantastic Independence Day; I hope it’s a wonderful, safe, and fun time for you and your family, and I will certainly be taking a moment to consider how grateful I am for our Democracy and what a precious gift it is.
For my friends outside of the US, I simply wish you a terrific day!
Thanks for checking these out – I truly appreciate your time. And with that, I want to wish you a great week ahead!
