    It was interesting to read your post today. You’re not alone on this one! I often have trouble staying focused, going from one task to the next–I think that’s why I like working on small paintings, they are more suited for my attention span. But, in the end, I usually manage to get “something” done.

    I think the most important thing is to just show up. Being in the studio and trying to be productive is obviously better than sitting down in front of the TV. I’ve heard of writers who strictly sit at their desks for hours, even if they can’t produce a single word. That’s the kind of discipline I aim for.

    I also switched to small format paintings for pretty similar reasons… if I work on something for more than a few days, I kinda feel like my head will explode!
