The Drama Of Light

The real subject in any painting is light.

It creates its own sparkling play as it flows across the scene like water.

By focusing a narrow beam of light into this scene, real drama unfolded as the actors emerged from the shadows, and highlights and reflections darted everywhere.

Paint, canvas, and brushes might seem like the materials of the artist, but that is incorrect – they are just tools to capture the real material – the light itself.

The original painting has sold, but prints are available.

So… we’ve looked at 7 paintings so far – is it time for a refreshment?
