"Olives, Creamer, Pear, Ginger Jar"
“Olives, Creamer, Pear, Ginger Jar” brings to life the essence of the traditional Spanish Bodegón in a modern still life painting, skillfully rendered in oil on panel. This artwork elegantly transforms everyday pantry items into a vibrant tableau, imbued with a sense of drama and the interplay of light.
Drawing upon the classic Bodegón style, which focuses on kitchen and pantry items in simple yet poignant settings, this painting showcases a jar of olives, a sleek silver creamer, a brightly colored ginger jar, and a lone pear, all artistically arranged on a tiered stack of marble slabs. The arrangement offers a feast for the eyes, highlighting both the utility and beauty of these ordinary objects.
The painting measures 18 x 30 inches (45 x 75 cm) and is finished with a deep black edge, presenting a polished look that allows for frameless hanging. Alternatively, framing options can be customized to suit your decor needs by consulting with your framer.
This still life not only celebrates nourishment and the subtleties of light but also adds a touch of sophistication to any space. It stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of the Bodegón and its ability to elevate the mundane to the magnificent.

"Tea With Blue Velvet"
"Study in Silence with Silver Creamer"
Study in Silence with Silver Creamer captures a moment of profound stillness, inviting viewers into a meditative space where time seems to stand still. This painting features a meticulously detailed silver creamer alongside a vibrant yellow lemon, both resting on a gently draped cloth that adds a sense of depth and texture to the composition.
The silver creamer, with its polished surface reflecting the subtle interplay of light and shadow, serves as a symbol of quiet reflection. Its ornate details and the soft gleam of the metal contrast beautifully with the simplicity and organic roughness of the lemon, emphasizing themes of balance and tranquility in everyday life.
This still life goes beyond mere representation, exploring the deeper resonance of silence in our busy lives. It encourages the viewer to pause and reflect, much like the act of preparing and enjoying a quiet cup of tea does. The arrangement of objects in the painting—each chosen for its textural and reflective qualities—creates a harmonious interplay that enhances the overall sense of calm.
Study in Silence with Silver Creamer is more than just a visual experience; it is an invitation to embrace the quiet moments, to reflect on the subtle beauties that unfold in stillness. It is a celebration of the meditative qualities of art, where each element is a meditation on light, form, and the timeless pursuit of beauty.
"Plum and Copper Tankard"
Plum and Copper Tankard eloquently captures the essence of simplicity. This artwork pairs a luminous copper tankard with a vibrant plum, each rendered with meticulous detail that highlights the textures and interplay of light.
The aged copper of the tankard, with its reflective patina, and the rich purples of the plum complement each other, emphasizing the beauty found in everyday simplicity. This composition invites viewers to pause and appreciate the silent, timeless moments that often go unnoticed.
This painting is not just a visual experience but an invitation to embrace the slower, quieter aspects of life. The juxtaposition of durable metal and the fleeting nature of fruit symbolizes the balance between permanence and decay.
"Espresso Cup and Blue Napkin"
Espresso Cup and Blue Napkin celebrates the charm and beauty of everyday simplicity. This painting features a richly decorated espresso cup, its surface adorned with intricate, hand-painted details that echo the artistry of traditional craftsmanship. Resting on a vivid blue napkin, the cup is not just a vessel for coffee; it’s a testament to the beauty of handmade objects that enrich our daily lives.
Each stroke in this painting is deliberate, capturing the gleam of the cup’s glaze against the soft texture of the napkin beneath it. About Me
I came to painting later than most artists.
My formal education was in music (violin and composition), yet after school I found my way into a practical career as a computer programmer.
Painting was always an intense curiosity for me, though.
So, for my 30th birthday, I purchased a small oil painting kit. This weekend hobby took on a life of its own, and after several years I left my comfortable life in technology to pursue this more uncertain – and much more satisfying – path.
I have painted still life exclusively for the last dozen years. I find it to be the perfect synthesis of tradition and exploration, and for me it is the ideal vehicle to search for both the inner and outer light.

“I’ve known Jeffrey and collected his work for several years now. I always look forward with great anticipation when he shows his new work. The realism he achieves is astonishing. He brings a remarkable precision and clarity to his Still Lifes, and his compositions are always thoughtful and interesting. I always stop, look, and marvel at the paintings of his that I have hanging on my walls. I am both proud and honored to have him as part of my collection.
