The Art Of Tea Celebrating the Beauty, Ritual, and Stillness of Tea

Many of my paintings are of teacups, or somehow involve tea.

They are often beautiful objects in their own right, and a warm cup of tea is one of life’s great comforts.

But to me, they also speak to something deeper.

The very act of enjoying a cup of tea is not unlike meditation – closing off outer distractions for a while… sitting quietly… allowing the mind to be at ease… looking inward and seeing what is there…

It’s the same spirit these paintings are meant to express.
